The South Taranaki District council is seeking a unique individual to become part of the Regulatory Services Unit in the role of Regulatory Services Administration Supervisor. This position reports directly to the Regulatory Services Manager and is responsible for the supervision of two full-time staff. Its primary purpose is to provide administration services to the Animal Control, Liquor Licensing, Environmental Health and Parking functions while also ensuring that the Environmental Services Group customers receive a high-quality service.
The successful applicant will have:
- University Entrance or equivalent
- High level of proven knowledge of administration and office management
- Experience in supervising and training staff
- Understanding of public/local government administrative processes
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Above average computer literacy
The ideal candidate will have some get up and go, will exhibit a positive attitude, have the ability to work under pressure while at the same time be committed to delivering excellent customer service. A positive attitude, great people skills, a willingness to work in a busy team environment as well as great organisational skills are a must, but the most important criteria is to have the passion, potential and drive to do the job.
